"Do-It-For-You" Account Management for Your 401(k)

BeManaged_-_Web_SmallToday, it is your responsibility to select the funds you invest in, determine how much to invest in each so you have the appropriate amount of risk, and then continue in the ongoing management and oversight of the portfolio. Well, the last time we checked, we didn't have to do your job without any training, so why should you have to do our job? Therefore, BeManaged takes this responsibility off your shoulders and puts it on ours. You always control how much risk you want, and then we take it from there. BeManaged clients can expect the following:

  • Ongoing, Proactive Account Management - If a change needs to be made, our dedicated research staff (all investment managers, not financial advisors or brokers) will make the necessary changes on your behalf. On average, we make 2-5 changes per year to your portfolio, using the funds available in your 401(k) plan, so there is no moving your account.

  • Proactive, Personal Updates - You do not just hand over the keys to your nest egg, we also keep you informed of the happenings in your account so you can maintain responsibility over the management of your 401(k). On average, we proactively communicate with you (you don't have to call us) 4-6 times per year by email or hard copy.

  • Personal Annual Review - At the end of the year, we provide you a personal review of your portfolio's returns and "make-up" so you know what is happening but without having to be intimately involved.

  • Individualized Investment Policy Statement (IPS) - We manage your portfolio specific to a level of risk that you ALWAYS control. We then outline the criteria by which we will manage your portfolio, specific to that level of risk. You will be able to see the minimums and maximums for each of the following asset classes: US Stocks, International Stocks, Fixed Income, and Cash. Additionally, we provide you a Before and After report of your portfolio, so you can see the different ingredients (investment options) and investment recipe (asset allocation) being used in your portfolio.

  • What is a Fiduciary? As an investment fiduciary we are legally bound not to accept monies or rewards that in any way compromise the advice or management we provide for our clients. We are 100% independent and unbiased because we do not accept any revenue from investment or insurance companies, which allows us to always act in our clients' best interests, not our own.

Common Questions About BeManaged

  • How Do I Pay For It? The fee for BeManaged comes directly from your 401(k) account balance. Thus, there is NO out of pocket expense or deduction from your paycheck.

  • Can I Cancel? Yes. You can cancel at any time, and we prorate your fee back to your account.

  • What if I Cannot Remember or Find my Login Information? No problem, we will work with you and your 401(k) provider to have your PIN reset so you can gain access to the account.

  • What Does A Capped Fee Mean? We will use the example of a $250,000 401(k) account balance with a 0.15% per quarter fee.

    • Uncapped Fee: $375 per quarter

    • Capped Fee: $125 per quarter, which equates to an expense of 0.05% per quarter. Therefore, the expense to your account decreases over time as your account grows in value.

  • How Often Will You Adjust My Portfolio? On average, we make 2-5 changes per year, depending on your 401(k) plan's investment options and the stock market's movements throughout any specific year.

  • Am I Required to Make the Changes? No. BeManaged takes care of that responsibility for you. Our dedicated research staff make the recommended changes on your behalf.
